“Competing at the World Juniors is the opportunity of a lifetime and will be a source of pride among our Anishinabe players, their home communities, and throughout Anishinabeg territory. Gaining international exposure at one of the highest levels of lacrosse is a great start to the ongoing development of Anishinabe Baagaadowewin. “To be a part of this inaugural team is huge. We will set the framework for future teams - our focus will be to build, strengthen and develop the program. I am looking forward to connecting with people in Anishinabeg communities on both sides of the border who share a love for the game and share in the pride of those selected to represent the first Anishinabe Lacrosse team. What an honor it will be,” said newly appointed  Anishinabe Baagaadowewin General Manager Travis Payer.
