Canada Defeats Iroquois 26-9

SASKATOON, SK - Game one of the K+S Potash Canada 2018 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship round-robin opened with a lopsided victory for Canada over Iroquois by a score of 26-9. 

Leading in points for the game for Iroquois was Marshall Powless with 1 Goal and 5 Assists. Canada we led in scoring by Thomas Vaesen with 4 Goals and 1 Assist. All four Goalies saw action with Canada's Bordy Harris providing a solid performance making 27 Saves on 35 Shots.

Iroquois will have a quick turn around and play the United States tomorrow, Thursday August 9th, at 7:30PM CT while Canada will play the United States on Friday August 10th at 7:30PM CT.
