First Eight Players Announced for Canada 23 Man Final Roster

VANCOUVER, BC – The Canadian Lacrosse League Canada international program is happy to announce the first eight (8) players named to the 23 Man Final Roster for 2019 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship.
“We are happy and honoured to announce the first eight (8) players that will join the Canada international program for the 2019 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Mississauga” said Chris Fox Executive Director of the Canadian Lacrosse League and Canada General Manager. “The commitment for these players started in January at one of our four Regional Combines that took place across the country. These players have made a commitment to extend their season, compete in a world-class event, and gain valuable international lacrosse experience.” Fox added.

"In the first eight we have two returning players from the 2018 World Juniors, Brand Lyons and Jordan Ackie. Mathis Couillard, Aidan Danby, and Oriale Mandeville played for us this past April in Prague at E-Box." Fox explained of the first eight named. "[Mitchell] Sandberg and [Jacob] Dunbar competed at our 2019 British Columbia Regional Combine and Landon Kells attended the 2018 Ontario Regional Combine."
The remaining fifteen (15) available spots of the 23 Man Final Roster will be announced Monday July 22th in preparation for a mini-camp prior to the 2019 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship taking place August 6-11 in Mississauga, Ontario.
