Israel Staff Headlined by NLL Vet Chad Culp

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Team Israel has announced their coaching staff for the U-19 Indoor team which will be competing at the first-ever World Lacrosse Challenge. 

The staff is headlined by 13-year NLL veteran Chad Culp, who has appeared in 163 NLL games, including his last five for the storied Buffalo Bandits franchise, racking up 159 goals and 244 assists. September will be Culp’s coaching debut on such a significant level, on the international stage. 

Culp is joined by Dan Deckelbaum, who appeared in two games for the Philadelphia Wings in 2012, and several seasons playing professional field lacrosse in the MLL. Deckelbaum has a tremendous amount of coaching experience, especially at the U-19 level, serving as Offensive Coach at Avon Grove HS, Tower Hill HS, as well as a volunteer assistant coach with Delaware, his alma mater. He also serves on the staff of NXT Lacrosse in Philadelphia. 

Kevin Harper (Oakville Titans) and Dalton Lundy (Clarington Green Gaels) round out Israel’s staff. 

The team will be holding a tryout camp at United Sports in Downingtown, PA, in conjunction with the Israel Lacrosse Philadelphia Showcase on June 13th and 14th

Training will be held on Saturday, June 13th from 9:00-11:00 PM, and an exhibition game against US Indoor Lacrosse will be held on Sunday, June 14th from 9:00-11:00 AM. 

Players who are participating in the tryout are also encouraged to take part in the Israel U-19 Showcase (Field Lacrosse) Game at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, which begins at 2:00 PM.
