Randy Fraser Returns as Head Coach of US World Junior Team
CHARLOTTE, NC – US Indoor Lacrosse (USIL) has announced Randy Fraser will return for his third year as Head Coach for the US World Junior Team competing at the 2018 IIJL World Indoor Junior Lacrosse Championships. Fraser returns to the US bench having guided the US World Junior Team to a 4th place finish at the inaugural 2015 World Junior Championship in Six Nations.
"I am honored to once again be representing the United States as head coach of the US World Junior Team. I am excited to get the process started," said Fraser. "We've got an impressive pool of U20 players to choose from and I'm confident we’ll assemble a group that can compete for the Championship."
Fraser will lead the US World Junior Team that will compete in the 2018 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship August 8-12, 2018 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada. The IIJL awarded the third edition of the international championship to the Saskatoon Box Lacrosse Association and City of Saskatoon.

Fraser has spent the past three seasons as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Regis College (NCAA DIII) where he has registered a 20-13 record and was named the league's (GNAC) Coach of the Year in 2016.
After a successful collegiate playing career at Springfield College (1986-1990), Fraser established himself as one of the most dominant American born box lacrosse players in the country. He amassed over 200 career points in 81 games through 13 NLL seasons with the Boston Blazers (1991-1997), New York Saints (1998-1999), and Buffalo Bandits (2001-2004). He was named Captain of US Men’s National Indoor Team (2003), scoring 1 goal and 10 assists at the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship helf throughout the province of Ontario Canada, ultimately leading to a Bronze Medal.
Coaching professionally, he has enjoyed tenures as an Assistant Coach for the (MLL) Boston Cannons (2006), New York Titans (2006), Boston Blazers (2007-2011), and US Men's National Indoor (Box) Lacrosse Team, again leading to bronze at the 2007 and 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Prague, Czech Republic, respectively.
Randy Fraser is a true ambassador for the game of lacrosse, best known for his passion and intensity both on and off the field. With over 30 years of field and box experience, Fraser's ability to recognize talent and build teams places him amongst the game's best youth, college, professional, and international coaches.
